N.C. Buyer's New Home ~ Progress at Ft Leonard Wood



Construction is moving right along. This home is being constructed in St. Robert, Missouri out the front gate of Ft. Leonard Wood. I have a super family moving from North Carolina that have contracted to purchase this home. So this post is especially for them and their family members that want to keep up on their new home. Since we contracted on it they've done extensive exterior dirt work - I'm very impressed with the attention to detail that D.A. Homebuilding, LLC has placed on water drainage - along all sides of the home you can see evidence of their work. The retaining wall to the front of the property has it's own picture posted above - turned out beautiful! The initial grade they've set in the yard makes me invision grass & kids running around. The front has also received attention ~ they've poured the front appron and started work on the front steps - I look forward to the completed project. Inside, they were working on preping the floors for tile work and they've drywalled and finished the 'unfinished' basement section....lookin' good. I will return next week and will again post the progress. Keep checkin' it out.

Community Treasure! Family Fun Fishing for Fort Leonard Wood!


I made a new discovery that I wanted to pass on.


South of FLW - AKA Fort Leonard Wood there's a three acre lake called Beaver Creek Paylake - it's nestled in a beautiful valley just above a creek and below a cave and spring which flow into the lake. The lake is stocked weekly with farm raised channel catfish....the scenery is well worth the trip! Limestone bluffs are on the north and sandstone bluffs are on the east.


On site is the Fish Fry Restaurant which serves a variety of menu items including fish, burgers, salads, and several sandwich options and of course homemade pies! Plenty of seating indoors but the real crowd pleaser is the outdoor seating situated on the gazebo overlooking the lake.
